I think you should leave a dollar, and let up off his rep.
His interpersonal skillz may suck, and maybe he should just move on, but I don't see how continued pressure on him will help anything until he gets his rep back to positive.
IF he can cultivate a following you can always crush him again when the time is right.
It will take a long time to reform a -6 rep.
It's not like he is gonna be seen on any feeds of folks that don't want to see him.
