I agree with this very much. From my point of view, the potential to earn STEEM is really just a cool side bonus. I already share a whole lot of content elsewhere on the interwebs and almost none of it has any direct earning potential - not a big deal. You're also participating in a valuable application of blockchain tech by being here. This is the most active blockchain in the world right now. From what I can tell, there's total editorial freedom and very few paid trolls here. Not the case most everyone else.
