Thank you Steemit... You helped me get a new washing machine!
Just 22 days ago after almost a year of gentle persuasion from @krystle and @ausbitbank I finally posted on steemit for the first time, albeit with some trepidation...
I was quite nervous about anyone reading what I wrote to start with and also couldn't imagine that I would generate any funds from posting at all.
But desperate times call for desperate measures...and our washing machine kicked the bucket weeks ago. And while @mumofmany has been our personal laundromat, which is quite a mission when she is already doing laundry for 8 (including 6 kids under 12), so this has been a bit of a drama for our whole family for quite a while. Unfortunately our budget just would not stretch to a new washer so there was no possibility of replacing the deceased washer (may she rest in peace (or pieces as the case may be)) in the foreseeable future.
At this stage @krystle pointed out I really had nothing to loose, and everything to gain so I finally took the plunge and submitted my first post!
And now I want just say 'thank you!' so much to all of you who read that post, upvoted or resteemed it because otherwise I might not have kept posting. Everyone was so supportive and helpful that I couldn't help but become addicted to steemit (in a good way).
What's even more amazing I have kept posting, am having a great time on steemit and have been able to fund that desperately needed and long overdue washing machine. Isn't she beautiful?
I checked out all the reviews on Choice.com.au and got the best one for our particular needs and then shopped around for the best price ( you gotta love end of financial year sales)!
But the real point is if I hadn't started posting on steemit I'd still be schlepping my laundry to the next suburb to @mumofmany's place to get the washing done... So thank you steemit!!!
Hello there i used to stay in australia so it is always nice to check out how you guys are doing :). I actually joined steemit in the very similar time and i was so amazed that how we can earn good money fron the internet now. But more importantly, we are contributing into new society and i hope great things keep on coming for us :).
This community will be growing very large, and very quickly. I love that this community can help people who are really in need. It is awesome and humbling to see the love I see here :)
It is very cool here on steemit @christopherwalls... I have been absolutely amazed and I'm having a great time meeting lots of new and wonderful people too.

Go for it @bill2089... I love it were all buying appliances lol! No holidays or new clothes or fancy sunglasses, nope practical stuff... My next purchase will have to be a laptop this one is on its last legs...I get the blue screen of death about 3 times a day and you could fry eggs on the bottom of it, its so hot (nice because its winter, not nice because I think it may com-bust at any moment). I'm sure you'll do well here! Remember to post about your dishwasher when you get it so we can all have a squiz!
wow i want to buy one too for my mother , we usually do the laundry using our hands hehe and I believe steemit can provide ;-))
It took me almost a year before my daughter @krystle and her partner @ausbitbank convinced me to have a go on steemit, and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. But no point in looking back, just forwards. I'm sure you'll be washing up a storm in no time.

Thanks @ch00fy... Yep its definitely a group effort. I was quite nervous about posting but the incentive of being rewarded was enough to get me out of my own way. That and the desperate need for clean undies!
