RE: The Beginner's Guide to Steemit, Part 1: Steemit Quick-Start Guide

The first tag is the only tag that sticks with your post for life, correct? So using something that isn't common is not necessarily a good idea as it makes it less "searchable." Don't you think? Also resteeming stays in your post list FOR.EV.ER...as in, never goes away. You can't unresteem it. This is a great, thorough beginners guide. So many of these things I learned on my own in the first few weeks (there is no telling how many times I voted on posts older than 7 days and how many times I voted way more than 10 times in a 24 hour period). Ha! Great job putting this together!

Both of those are great things for me to add. Thanks so much for the feedback!

I think once you pass out of rewards, whatever tags are on it, stay. Not certain on that.

I think for the search, it only pulls up titles and the first tag. Someone previously told me this and I did a search of mine for "cat" and it only pulled one with that in the title, but I know I've used that tag other times (thanks to that catbot). ;) The tags stay on the post, but only the first one counts for it appearing in the searches after the 7 days are up. That's my understanding at least. That's why the first tag is super important.
