A Disheartening Truth About Originality
**I wrote this after reading this post: https://steemit.com/ethereum/@mraza/build-an-ethereum-mining-rig-mining which has some great information. I was curious because the topic wasn't consistent with the account description and I googled the first paragraph. Not only did I find the article posted several months ago on a different site, but I found weird pages that had nothing to do with the article, but had the first paragraph as part of it's SEO.
It was really gross. **
I love that the internet has become what seems to be an endless landscape where people can find property on which they use their forms of expression to contribute to the villages, cities, and countries of the world wide web.
There is literally no limit to what people can contribute to the global network. If the country of Facebook won't let a house built of racial slurs stand, that house can be built in a number of other regions. The country of 4CHan is the most mainstream example with little to no governing regulation.
At the beginning of it all buildings were efficient. Sure, there were the cases of domiciles where you were greeted by loud noises and flashing lights, but that was not the common design. People put pride into their homes to make their expressions stand out.
Then business development came along. So many self sufficient message board villages were abandoned, their occupants allured by the glitz and glamour of the city structures with their sleek and conformed civil design.
What the people didn't expect was that all of the conformity created less interest in individual structures. It was much more difficult to retain the retain the attention of visitors because the neighbors next door were calling over to your visitor during your visit.
Time has passed since and the same patterns have continued as city residents move to countries. A small population will continue to create new content and the majority will continue to recycle the content that has proven successful. Even though the attention they receive will be for something that isn't even their own, the attention is all they care about.
