RE: Here is how the Steemit Trending Page would look like without Bid Bots and Self Votes! (01.04.2018)

It's a little presumptuous of me to comment here, since I've a very poor understanding of Steemit mechanics. What baffles me is, why are Steemians tied to the Trending page? When I look for something to read on Steemit, I look for tags that interest me, then I look for "New". And I look for blogs from Steemians that I know post quality material. I don't need a Trending filter to tell me what I like. There is so much on Steemit. It's dynamic, changing every moment, offering good stuff and not-so-good stuff. Let the riot of it wash over you. Pick and choose, depending on your mood. That's what I do, and it's great fun. I think, if we all made independent choices, and didn't pay attention to what was "trending", then it wouldn't be so easy for a few to dominate--would it?
