Top of the day to everyone on this platform. I want to say I'm new here, but I'm still wondering how I have been in the dark about a wonderful community like this. Special thanks to @focusnow for introducing me. I foresee an amazing experience.

Short Biography

I want to start by introducing myself. My name is Fortune Nweke Ndubuisi. A native of Oshiegbe in Ebonyi Southeast Nigeria. If you don't know much about Nigerians, they are the happiest people in the world, research will convince you.

I'm the fourth in the family of five. Due to the early death of my dad, I grew up outside my immediate family. So, I need not tell you what my childhood experience looked like, because everyone can relate. Although, it's nothing because it helped to shape me to become who I am today.

Education

Like I said earlier, I grew up under a surrogate mother, and that affected my early education. This was because at the age children needed to focus on their studies, I was much more occupied with chores, errand and all that. That doesn't mean I wasn't going to school anyways, but my caregiver was shaping me something great.

That was in Ojo area of Lagos state where I attended Sabo Oniba Primary School. I managed to complete that stage, and after 2 years post primary education, prostery smiled at me. My elder brother who went on apprenticeship and had graduated, took me from the woman. He enrolled me for secondary education at Lagos State Government College, still in Ojo area of Lagos.

At the completion of my secondary education, I was offered admission to study architecture at Institute of Management and Technology. I proceeded to Enugu State University of Science and Technology, after obtaining a National Diploma. At the University, I studied Urban and Regional Planning. And since my graduation and youth service, I have been based in Enugu, Nigeria.

Professional Career

Although I obtained a b.sc in Town Planning, I chose to practice what architecture, my diploma area. I quickly enrolled for trainings and mentorship, after school. This improved my competence in the area rapidly, and my mentor soon started handing projects to me.

I became the professional that I wished to be. Soon, due to my love for writing, I discovered I could write some lines and put out through social media. I started writing indiscriminately like I used to do with pieces of paper.

In 2018, I got a ghostwriting job through my social media posts. This reduced my social media presence, as I had to meet up with paid tasks. I have been doing this alongside my architecture design job. That's literature and architecture, if you ask me.

Why I Joined Steemit

As mentioned above, I have been into job of writing for 4 years. And it is my dream as a passionate writer to have many people read my work. Having been initiated by @focusnow, I went on research and discovered that I can reach out to a huge audience, through Steemit.

I want to say Steemit is revolutionary because it is changing the status quo in social media. And I'm glad am part of it. And for @focusnow, I don't know how to thank you for going out of your way to introduce me without asking for anything. I promise to follow your footsteps. Thank you so dearly.
