i've always found the samson range pretty solid, but do test one out first to see how it sounds with your 'voice' -- maybe it's me but i tend to swap around with microphones a lot, this is damn good for the price thou, if you are starting out for podcasting, give it a shot, it might be great for you.

Samson is one of the mic brands I looked at as well. Another is Rode of course.
Here in Japan, we have another brand - Behringer C1-U. I'm satsified with it because of its price and audio sound quality and plug-and-play capability.
Will check this one out as well if it's okay with song production and not just podcasting.
Wow, this looks really awesome. I have an Audio Technics that I use pretty exclusively, but I am always on the lookout for new and awesome devices. The fact that this is USB is really awesome. I know my USB mic you can use pretty much anywhere. It is really awesome . Thanks for sharing this really great product!
G-Track Pro is also good for recording bass, guitar, keyboard, and other line-level devices.

I am fighting at work with a microphone embedded in a video camera and it makes my life a nightmare. With this dedicated USB microphone I might get in heaven. Great find!
