I don't personally smoke, but my wife does. She's tried to give up quite a few times over the years, but keeps coming back to the cigarettes.
This does look very promising.
I'd be very tempted to buy one myself, and sabotage her cigarettes one by one, punching tiny little holes into each filter. Now, before you start freaking out in the comments, I said "tempted" - I wouldn't actually do this (it's her choice, not mine).
But if the net result was less damage to her health, and a higher chance she could give up, it'd almost be worth it. In my [imaginary] plan, I'd tell her after a month or two what had been happening, and she'd then have a much better chance of quitting (as she would have been reducing her intake over a period of time).
I hope a few Steemians who might need this product actually do try it out - and if you do, good luck, I hope it works for you.
