Good thing they created a backup battery just in case, but I don't think it is appropriate, people who are buying tents are meant for outdoor activities they which means they also want to stay away from gadgets.

I agreed at first thought, but there are other considerations too.. It may be counter-productive in camping situations. What we want is to get away from technology and the demands of email and such when we go camping.
But the tent may wind up getting used by homeless people, who will now have an ability to charge their devices in their "home." There are many people with jobs who have a phone for communication, but just can't afford housing costs. They live in tents now. This would be a step up for them for sure.
