"I will deliver you" is one promise. Yet thousands of Christians are murdered every year for their faith. There are very few of the so-called promises of God that apply to everyone. We know God will be with us no matter what we go through. We know God won't let us be tempted beyond our ability to resist. We know that God will provide for our needs. There isn't a lot beyond that.
