Controversial cosmetic practices
Recent comments have touched on the subject of falsehoods or misrepresentations and now I can't resist telling you about the latest fraudulent thing I've come across on the internet, in fact, it is something that a whole private business is built on, and one person or several or many people make a living from it. And although there are many such things, theories, businesses and practices in the world that are not ok, even dangerous to human health, I was especially shocked now, maybe because I am seeing this very thing for the first time.
It is about facial cosmetic procedures that are advertised and recommended by a young woman, to rejuvenate and renew facial skin cells by... shaving. To do this, the lady developed several products, such as (note how enterprising!) a "hair identifier", which is a powder that is sprayed with a vial on the face to mark where there is hair, and then she developed razors for women that they are... just razors.
And then the shave. Shaving is not just shaving. The whole face is shaved - with the forehead, etc. Hair falls out with the powder on it, yes. But... wait a minute. How do you perceive all this?
First, the very idea of shaving a woman's face sounds and looks abnormal. Yes, there are women with problems, with hormonal imbalance and other diseases. But even for such women, shaving is not advisable. And here, in these commercials, the idea of this business isn't even about removing hair from very hairy women. The idea of the whole business is how useful it is for every woman to shave, to remove hair and probably the surface layer of skin, from the forehead to the chin.
Brilliant! And incomprehensible at the same time. It's like when you don't have problems, you create them yourself. The business will tell you: shave even if you don't have hair, it's good for your skin. Then you'll be forced to do it yourself anyway, once you've already done it. You just do it!
As someone with hypersensitive skin, I felt sick watching the woman shave her face from top to bottom. Or until she shaves someone else. And I think that's one of the dumbest ideas that a woman can come up with on her own, and try to apply it to other women, make money off of it.
What is a hair ID really for when we're not even talking about hair removal that much here? That is why I tell you that this is particularly enterprising.
Not only to create a need for something that no one would ever think of, but for that thing to be quite dangerous to apply, plus controversial in terms of action and meaning.
I immediately think of some other controversial procedures in terms of action and meaning, with which the whole world is flooded - pumping with hyaluron and Botox. It is so flooded that many skin doctors have already given up dealing with skin diseases and problems and have turned to these things because the demand is constant and increasing, and the prices are higher and the income is constant.
But I really want to see one or God forbid more women aged, what they will look like at that age after all these procedures, if they even live to that point. Many of them even at a younger age have the appearance of the living dead, dead, buried and dug out of their graves, honestly, such is the association they evoke in my mind when I see their faces and bodies.
And about shaving the faces... well, I was shocked at first when I saw this (just now), now you can say I'm very old fashioned or retarded for only seeing this now. It is obvious that this is some current in cosmetic procedures, which is dangerous after all, and accidents can always happen. Same as with hyaluronic injections. Recently, a contestant on a reality TV show was mocked because of many injections in her lips, she looked like she had a moustache. Then I read up on the risks of lip injections and it turns out they are numerous, not only is the procedure unsightly and painful, but a nerve can be affected and the skin can become necrotic, etc. etc., things of which no lady is aware when she undergoes it, nor do the gentlemen who covet such ladies know of them.
I hope I haven't offended any lady who does these treatments, I just have too sensitive skin, too cautious and from that point of view I don't think it's a good idea.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
Most ‘beautiful’ people, these perfect catalogue beauties, are not attractive, not interesting. Why do so many still strive for this stupid beauty...?

I don't know, we have to ask the men around. I come from an area where this is encouraged and welcomed, a whole branch of show business in Bulgaria is based on plastic women with a huge number of plastic surgeries. However, it is avoided to talk about the dangers of these interventions, not only on a physical level, but also on a mental level. And we are not even talking so much about any standards of beauty, but about some distorted understanding of beauty. Aesthetics have long since lost their power in this confused world.

RetinA instead of shaving, causes the skin to peel.

You mean retinol? I've just read a lot of good things about it, but still, the side effects remain and I'm not sure I can handle them on my own at home. I speak hypothetically, because I rarely do experiments with my skin, if something happens, there is no one to turn to, 😃 skin doctors are busy with hyaluronic injections and botox and have no time for real diseases and skin damage.
Thanks for the info!
