Dream Box
There are small wooden box that is starting to get faded color, in the Nisa's old room in a corner. Box is an inheritance from their mother and she did say decades ago,” Put your dreams in there, The universe will take care of the rest
As a kid, all of Nisa's dreams were written on pieces of paper she would fold up then put in the box. Some of the dreams materialised (she got a new bicycle at her 10 birthday, or scoring the writing prize for the school, etc.) But one dream that I still want to fulfill has failed to come true: to become a famous author!
Years passed and the box was virtually forgotten. It wasn't until it was the dead of night and silent, that Nisa found a reason to open it once more. She read every piece of paper she had written. Her heart did drop when she thought that girl who stood between her and her dreams was no more than quick to forget.
Nisa Nisa picked up writing with more passion than ever. She sent her manuscripts to all (that time) poets and writers and a letter with an acceptance arrived from one of her poems.
She held the paper, and she smiled. She purred into her little box, the whisper she said to mom Thank you, universe.
