Since childhood, Reza had always been interested in machines and technology. He loved to take apart his grandfather’s old radio and fix it. However, in his village, this skill was considered not very useful. “This rice field has supported our family for years,” his father said one night, when Reza expressed his desire to study engineering in the city. “You don’t need to look for anything else.”

But his determination did not waver. With his savings from odd jobs, he enrolled in a technical school in the city. The decision brought him face-to-face with the disappointment of his father, who chose to remain silent for several months after his departure. However, Reza had no regrets. He worked hard, studying day and night, until he finally got the opportunity to intern at a large workshop.

Five years passed. One day, he returned to his village. This time not as a doubtful young man, but as a technician ready to build something for his village. He brought modern agricultural machinery that could increase the harvest more efficiently.

His father watched from a distance as Reza explained to the village farmers how the machine worked. His expression was stern, but his eyes conveyed something different. When night fell and they sat on the porch of the house, his father finally said softly, “Maybe your path is different, but you still come home to help. I am proud of you, son.”
