I left Melbourne around 8.20am this morning and drove the 3 & half hours to Albury, the drive was a good chance to see some of the countryside.

I saw a couple of massive solar farms around Winton which caught my eye, the road was easy to drive and there was not a lot of traffic.

Arriving in Albury just after midday i thought i would see if i could check in early , thankfully i could and parked the car and went to my room.

This is my room for the next 13 nights and it will suffice rather nicely, it has a cooktop/microwave if i feel like cooking myself.

The room also has Air con which will be good if things get too hot here, the shower looks like a decent size as well.

And finally here is my bed which feels quite comfortable, i feel i will sleep well here.

Here is the GYM which looks like i will be able to get some decent cardio in, all the equipment looks pretty new & clean.

The Hotel does not have a pool but there are pools just down the road, it has a free laundry which i am currently using to wash my clothes & undies 🤔

After unpacking and putting my laundry on i decided to go for a walk, my boss had said to go up to the War Memorial so i did - a very steep walk up there but the view was great and i think i will do this walk daily since its steep!

Then i went for a little walk around the shopping area to help see where some stuff is like supermarkets etc.

Then a quick walk through the botanical gardens which looks like a nice place to relax and have a picnic or similar.

We have a pretty warm day here today but i hope it gets warmer, thankfully in a few days we will be back to 30 + degree days.

Currently i am watching a game of basketball and just waiting for my clothes to dry in the clothes drier.

My first impression of Albury is really good, looks like a reasonably quiet small place.
