SteemSearch Update v1.3.0 with advanced options for curators

Gute Neuigkeiten: Das bisher größte Update von SteemSearch ist jetzt online! Mit vielen neuen Optionen, die vor allem für Kuratoren interessant sein dürften.
Was ist neu?
Wie im Screenshot oben zu sehen, jede Menge neuer Felder!
Keine Sorge, den Advanced-Bereich könnt ihr optional einblenden, wer die neuen Felder nicht braucht, kann die Suche wie gewohnt nutzen, auch bisherige Lesezeichen funktionieren wie gehabt.
Suchtext und Tags dürfen leer sein
Grundsätzlich ist es ist jetzt möglich, Suchtext (Feld: Search for) und Tags leer zu lassen, die Suche lädt dann Beiträge aus dem aktuellen Feed. Sind Eingaben in den advanced Feldern vorhanden, werden jeweils 500 Beiträge geladen und entsprechend geprüft.
Am Ende der Liste steht dann z.B. "Results 1 - 500 (499 ignored)" - 499 ignored bedeutet, 499 Beiträge entsprechen nicht den Bedingungen. Mit Klick auf den blauen Pfeil, werden die nächsten 500 Beiträge geprüft.
So können aktuelle Beiträge nach den verschiedensten Kriterien gefiltert werden, unendliche Möglichkeiten... ich bin selbst gerade dabei, sinnvolle Einstellungen herauszuarbeiten.
Zusatzinfos
Oberhalb der Posts werden Zusatzinfos angezeigt, sofern in den umrahmten Feldern Eingaben vorhanden sind.
Der Gedanke dabei war, jemand der nach diesen Kriterien filtert, findet diese Infos wahrscheinlich nützlich, für den "normal" Suchenden eher uninteressant.
Min oder Max oder Beides
Sämtliche Advanded-Felder sind optional, d.h. ihr könnt nur bei "min" oder nur bei "max" etwas eingeben, der entsprechende "Gegenwert" wird dann automatisch gesetzt. Beides geht natürlich auch.
Kommentare
Bei der Suche nach Kommentaren in Verbindung mit Tags gibt es eine Besonderheit. Die Suche ordnet nur den ersten Tag des Root-Posts dem Kommentar zu. Zusätzlich eventuell noch Tags, die in den Kommentar geschrieben wurden.
Eine Suche nach Kommentaren bei Eingabe von mehreren Tags wird daher eher ins Leere laufen.
Posts per Month
Wer keine Vielschreiber in den Ergebnissen haben will, dem empfehle ich das unscheinbare Feld PPM, was nicht für parts per million sondern für Posts per Month steht. Ihr werdet stauen, manche bringen es auf über 100, andere sogar auf über 1000 Posts pro Monat. Heftig!
Comments per Day
Bei den Kommentaren (Feld CPD = Comments per Day) sieht es etwas besser aus, vereinzelt gibt es aber auch hier hohe Werte. Eventuell entferne ich das Feld CPD wieder, weil man das mit dem Feld C/P (Comment/Post Ratio) auch gut abfragen kann. Mal sehen...

Zeitraum
@moecki und @joslud haben sich einen bestimmten Zeitraum gewünscht, dazu gibt es jetzt zwei neue Felder "Date from" und "Date to".
Allerdings gibt es eine Einschränkung, unter "Tags" muss mindestens ein Tag angegeben werden. Hintergrund ist, SDS möchte bei einer Abfrage nach Zeitraum mindestens einen Tag haben, zumindest bei den API-Aufrufen die ich aktuell verwende. Vielleicht finde ich eine andere Lösung, beim nächsten Update...
Hilfetexte
@joslud wünschte sich eine Art FAQ-Funktion, die genau erklärt, was in die einzelnen Felder eingegeben werden kann. @moecki hat dafür Tooltip's vorgeschlagen und genau das habe ich gemacht!
Bei allen gepunktet unterstrichenen Feldern (wie z.B. "Search for" oder "Tags") erscheint jetzt ein Hilfetext, wenn man mit der Maus drüber fährt oder (am Handy) drauf tippt.
Aktive / inaktive Accounts
@sbamsoneu schlug vor, aktive von inaktiven Accounts zu unterscheiden. Erst dachte ich "gute Idee", dann habe ich den Gedanken wieder verworfen, jetzt aber doch etwas in der Richtung eingebaut und zwar das Feld "Last Comment".
Die Idee dahinter ist, wenn ein Account z.B. in den letzten 14 Tagen keinen Kommentar mehr geschrieben hat, dann ist das zumindest ein Hinweis, dass der User nicht zu den aktivsten gehört.
Follower, Comments...
@indextrader24 hat Follower, Comments, Subscriptions und Country vorgeschlagen.
Subscriptions und Country habe ich vorerst nicht eingebaut, bei Country scheinen mir die Ergebnisse sehr unzuverlässig. Bei der Anzahl Subscriptions weiß ich nicht so recht, ob das von allgemeinem Interesse ist, falls ja, schreibt mir das gerne in die Kommentare!
Dafür ist die Anzahl der Follower jetzt eingebaut und bei den Comments habe ich statt der gesamt Anzahl an Kommentaren die Anzahl pro Tag genommen. Ich denke damit kann man mehr anfangen.
Sprache
@peppermint24 hat Sprache als Kriterium vorgeschlagen. Wäre nicht verkehrt, allerdings muss ich mich erst schlau machen, inwieweit ich das mit PHP herausfinden kann, wie zuverlässig das funktionieren würde und wie sich das auf die Geschwindigkeit auswirkt. Ihr seht schon, ein Programm ist irgendwie nie fertig :-)

So, nach mehr als einer Woche intensivem Getüfftel und rauchenden Gehirnwindungen ist v1.3.0 nun endlich online. Ich hoffe es hilft dem ein oder anderen, neue Accounts und interessante Beiträge zu finden.

Good news: The biggest update of SteemSearch to date is now online! With many new options that should be of interest to curators.
What's new?
As you can see in the screenshot above, lots of new fields!
Don't worry, you can optionally show the advanced area, if you don't need the new fields, you can use the search as usual, even previous bookmarks work as usual.
Search text and tags can be empty
In general, it is now possible to leave the search text (field: Search for) and tags empty, the search will then load posts from the current feed. If there are entries in the advanced fields, 500 posts are loaded and checked accordingly.
At the end of the list you will then see, for example, ‘Results 1 - 500 (499 ignored)’ - 499 ignored means that 499 posts do not meet the conditions. By clicking on the blue arrow, the next 500 posts are checked.
Current posts can be filtered according to various criteria, endless possibilities... I'm currently working out useful settings myself.
Additional information
Additional information is displayed above the posts if there are entries in the framed fields.
The idea was that someone who filters according to these criteria will probably find this information useful, but for the ‘normal’ searcher it is rather uninteresting.
Min or Max or both
All advanced fields are optional, i.e. you can only enter something in ‘min’ or only in ‘max’. Of course, both are also possible.
Comments
There is a special feature when searching for comments in connection with tags. The search assigns only the first tag of the root post to the comment. In addition, tags that were written in the comment also be added.
A search for comments when entering several tags will therefore tend to come up empty.
Posts per month
If you don't want to have frequent writers in the results, I recommend the inconspicuous PPM field, which doesn't stand for parts per million but for posts per month. You'll be amazed, some of them have over 100 posts per month, others even over 1000. That's intense!
Comments per day
The comments (field CPD = Comments per Day) look a little better, but there are some high values here too. I might remove the CPD field again, because the C/P (Comment/Post Ratio) field can also be used to query this. Let's see...

Thank you very much for your suggestions under Planning SteemSearch update, I have implemented them as far as possible. In detail...
Date range
@moecki and @joslud have requested a specific time period, so there are now two new fields ‘Date from’ and ‘Date to’.
However, there is a restriction, at least one day must be specified under ‘Tags’. The background is that SDS would like to have at least one day for a query by time period, at least for the API calls that I am currently using. Maybe I'll find another solution in the next update...
Help texts
@joslud wanted a kind of FAQ function that explains exactly what can be entered in the individual fields. @moecki suggested tooltips for this and that's exactly what I did!
A help text now appears for all dotted underlined fields (such as ‘Search for’ or ‘Tags’) when you move the mouse over them or tap on them (on a mobile phone).
Active / inactive accounts
@sbamsoneu suggested differentiating between active and inactive accounts. At first I thought ‘good idea’, then I discarded the idea, but now I have added something along these lines, namely the ‘Last Comment’ field.
The idea behind this is that if an account has not posted a comment in the last 14 days, for example, then this is at least an indication that the user is not one of the most active.
Follower, Comments...
@indextrader24 has suggested Follower, Comments, Subscriptions and Country.
I have not included Subscriptions and Country for the time being, the results for Country seem very unreliable to me. I'm not sure whether the number of subscriptions is of general interest, but if it is, please let me know in the comments!
Instead, the number of followers is now included and for the comments I have used the number per day instead of the total number of comments. I think you can do more with that.
Language
@peppermint24 has suggested language as a criterion. Wouldn't be wrong, but I first have to find out to what extent I can do this with PHP, how reliably it would work and what effect it would have on the speed. As you can see, software is somehow never finished :-)

So, after more than a week of intensive fiddling and smoking brains, v1.3.0 is finally online. I hope it helps some of you to find new and interesting accounts and posts.

Als ersten Test muss ich erstmal die User mit 100-1000 Posts im Monat finden. Nee, mir tun die nichts, denen folge ich nicht. Aber ich kann mir ja deren Follower merken: das sind dann ja jene, die definitiv nicht in ihren Feed schauen… ;-)

Testing, testing, I've already started some tests of the new search options. I want to use it, for example, to analyze an account's posting strategy. I'll keep track of my discoveries, my own mistakes, and how your search system works.
First test.
I wanted to find my posts with a specific title from 2020. I set up the search from that year, but it only returns results from 2025. I'll keep testing.
Yes, I know, the search by date range is only of limited use because of the required tag.
You could only search by title:
If you scroll down a little, you will find the 5 posts from 2020.
Incidentally, these all contain the tags #creativecoin, #spanish, #relato and #palnet. If you use one of these tags, the search by date will also find it.
But I know, I don't remember tags used years ago that well either.

Ja, große Spielwiese und ich arbeite bereits an v1.3.1 - mit einer Art Mini-Spracherkennung: Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch, Italienisch, Französisch, Russisch, Ukrainisch, Griechisch, Indonesisch, Chinesisch, Koreanisch, Thailändisch, Arabisch, Hindi, Bengali, ... soll ich weitermachen, die Liste wär noch länger :-)
Mal sehen was draus wird, im Grunde, für meinen Teil, würde es mir reichen keine Posts mit so Kringel-Dingel থেকে zu bekommen. Ob das nun Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu oder Kuckuck 😵💫 heißt, is mir Knödel.
Wie hättest du das "Language Feld" gemeint? Eine einzelne Sprache auswählen?
Das ist irgendwie wie Chinesisch. Ein Strich in den Hexenhäuschen zu dick oder ein Kringel zu dünn, ... Schwups, komplett andere Story. lol
Ja, irgendwie so. Aber auch nach dem Muster, dass man wählen kann, aber nicht muss. Das sind die nervigsten (Such)formulare überhaupt. Die, bei denen man zwar viele Parameter hat, aber alle Felder "ausfüllen" muss, selbst wenn man sie dann nullt und/oder gar nicht benötigt. Geil sind die, die dann im Dropdown Menü die Möglichkeit "Keine Angaben" anbieten.
Das Feld ignorieren/überspringen zu können wäre ja auch zu nutzerfreundlich. rofl
Thanks for implementing it. I also love the idea behind the “comment per day” because there are times I want to see how many comments I’ve made to be sure I’ve met my target for the day before signing off.
Oh, that's not what this is for, the comments per day is an average of all comments divided by the days how old the account is.
I.e. you would have to count the comments of the current day manually.

I'm going to assume myself as a client and explain what I want to solve.
The problems with trying to get a large number of relevant comments:
The number of automatic responses from voting or curating accounts that are then counted as comments by the app. Even from witnesses. (Let's call them irrelevant; I don't consider them harmful in any way.)
I myself manage two curating accounts that leave a comment notifying them that it was voted on. Accounts like @tipu, @ecoer, @steem-seven, @jswit (the list is long, I'll compile it)
As a moderator in a community, I want to know which commenters leave a message beyond the "good," "nice," or "thank you" response.

I have this link for you. It filters comments longer than 10 words, and second filter would include accounts that shouldn't be taken... without creating a blacklist - hmm, ok, let's call it an ignore list :-)
In this example, I have used the tag hive-108800 for the community Venezolanos Steem, as you are a moderator there. But it works in the same way for any community. The interesting point for you is the ignore list:
I have named it ‘josludtxt.txt’ for this example, you must of course create your own list with a different name so that no one else can change it.
You can see the list by clicking on "Edit List".
If you only want the results from solperez, for example, simply enter the user under "Only results from:" field:
This is: A results page for comments posted by an author that are longer than 10 words.
Of course, you can enter any value in the “Words” field:
