ANGER BROKE HIS STONES

Remember that Moses had been called to Mt. Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments which God wrote with His hands on two tablets of stone. While still with God on mount , God informed Moses that the children of Isreal had gone astray and were already worshipping a golden image. Moses came down from the mount and in a fit of anger, threw down the tablets of stone and broke them.

And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing; and Moses' Anger waxed hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.
There is another occasion where ....He exhibited the same trait
In Numbers 20:7-12
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Take your rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water for them out of the rock, and give them drink to the congregation and their animals.
So Moses took the rod from before the Lord as he commanded him.
And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, "Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?"
Then Moses lifted his hand struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Isreal, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them"

Anger made him to lose such a promise land, a land flowing with milk and honey

Wow! Anger broke the two tablets! He cast the stones out of his hands! The precious stone given to him by God himself. He became angry with the children of Isreal, himself and maybe thinking that God has offended him but Were they not given to Him by God? Why break the stones? What will Anger not cause?
Remember that it was this same Anger that made this same Moses not to make the promised land.
Don't break your tablet of stone (your convenant with God, your testimony, your glorious future, your dream, your roadmap), etc because of someone else.i

I'd say once that line is crossed - anger. One may have no conscience. Always be in control of emotions.

The negative virtue that steals away vital things that will transform our lives ranging from relationship, marriage, business deals, and what have you is Anger.

The bible even declares one a fool for been so.. Steer clear from anger because it can mare one and leaves one with regret forever.

Interesting and insightful... Anger destroys great things

That makes him the first law broker. Really we need to control our emotions. A lot will be spoilt if we act when anger, but if we are calm, we will have no need for regret

Very beautiful History thanks for sharing.

We must learn to break the chain of anger and embrace the cardinal virtue of meekness.

Thanks so much for your comment....i appreciate

Great story, it's one that teaches against again.
Only if Moses could avoid anger, am sure it wouldn't have led to this..
Al the best @joagawu

Thanks dear

Anger can cause many problems but the only thing we can do is to avoid it and probably it comes,we should ask for the grace of God to overcome it. Nice comment @joagawu
