RE: A pitch for @steemcleaners and a 1k SP delegation

in #steemcleaners7 years ago

@aggroed...I have 1 concern about Steemit. This is the red flag. Yellen could buy 10 Million Dollars of Steem Power. Then she could downvote all the posts of @aggroed and the amount would be zero. She could do that even with a bot. Youtube could do the same if Steemit would get a threat for them. This is quit scary. Am I missing something about the red flag?

Sort:

She'll have to buy 10 million dollars of steem first. Play the supply and demand game. Limit supply, cost goes up, she gets less steem power. Stop selling it ppl!

@bamboosteemer ...at some days the volume in 24h is more then 100M$. This 10M$ wouldn't push up the price noticeably. Maybe from 4.1$ to 4.3$.

@mafsteem ...We should be fine for the next 12 month or so. I think the elites haven't even noticed yet, what a threat steemit posses to them, but I agree to your concerns.

@stehaller...I have exactly the same opinion. To me Steemit is a very good investement the next 6 months. Then it could get dangerous because of the red flag.

That was the first thing that i thought, but if that happens they just need to put a system up to prevent that, maybe something like, u can only flag a % of someone's payout, and a system where u lose SP if you use and abuse the flag option

@teutonium...When do the delegates realize this happens? Maybe 51 of the delegates are not affected and have no interest to change something. Where is the border of abusing? Nobody knows. Just no red flag and everything would be fine.

You have a point with someone outside who is rich can come in and ruin it all for the rest. Yet are there not a specific amount of steem in circulation that can be bought and even if it is all bought Dan has control of the majority hence will step in if anyone tries to manipulate steemit. Our its just my wishful thinking?

@mawit07...I think it's just your wishful thinking. The top dogs have no interest to give away the red flag. The top dogs will be happy the price of Steem goes up.

I also have the same question I asked my friend and did not know the answer @mafsteem

@venox...It's a pity the delegates have no interest to hide this red flag.

I hope they do this my friend @mafsteem

@venox...It would be a surprise because they have the power and this way they think to keep the power. The deeper problem of this is DPOS. Steemit is trusting 51 of the 101 delegates. That's like a parlament. There is not 1 parlament in the world who is doing what people want to be done. DPOS could go the same direction.

@mafsteem...The solution to the red flag would be, just get rid of the downvote/flag option.

@stehaller...it would be the solution. If you talk to the delegates it's almost impossible they will do that. They think it's a wonderful weapon. I think the deep incentive for them is to control the system.

What is the solution in your opinion ? :-( @mafsteem

@venox...Short term (3-6 month) Steemit is a good investment because at the moment this platform can just work with DPOS. It's very fast and very cheap because it's just stored on 101 Servers. With POS this wouldn't be possible now. This year the Update Casper of Ethereum is coming. Then this kind of social platform will be also possible with POS. Then there will grow other platforms. The solution is to stay awaken, to watch the market and to sell at least a part of Steem in a couple of months.

I agree with you @mafsteem
Thank you for all this explanation ♥♥♥ I support you

@venox...it's my pleasure.

thank you my best friend ♥@mafsteem

@venox...your're welcome.

Thank you for this solution @mafsteem
support you

@zoogataga...It's my pleasure.

Yeah she could. But she's just 1 person. There's a whole community here. There are unintended consequences to that.

@aggroed...She is a very powerful person. She can print even 10 Billions in a second out of thin air. And there is youtube, google, Facebook, twitter. Not less powerful. Without this red flag everything would be fine. But like this I don't see a long term future for Steemit. I read the delegates like this red flag to control the system. Very dangerous. This way the delegates could get suddenly controled by the big system. But maybe you mean with unintended consequences, the delegates will hide this red flag if this happens?
