STEEMCHURCH PARISHIONERS | A CALL TO LEAVE FOOTPRINTS OF LOVE
INTRODUCTION
It gladens my heart to make this submission shortly after reading the latest post by Steemchurch with such a touchy Call to Action.
About 6 days ago, Warrior @Darlenys01 blogged on LEAVING FOOTPRINTS and it conveyed so much deep message and a challenge. I had no more to comment than remembering the hymn written by Horatius Bonar, popularly tagged as "Only Remembered'
Only remembered, only remembered,
Only remembered by what we have done;
Thus would we pass from the earth and its toiling,
Only remembered by what we have done.
Like Job marked that we came naked to the earth and so we shall return; it is only our legacies imprinted in the hearts and lives of others that will remain after we have left this earth.
This gives me so much reason to ponder and consider this call to action by the Archbishop/CEO of the @Steemchurch @Emiliocabrera for every parishioner to think, decide and attempt on how to LEAVE THE FOOTPRINTS OF LOVE. While I go back to my design table to conceptualize this, permit me to use the Images pilotedby Archbishop EC.
CONSIDER THESE
One of my Sunday school teachers earlier this year defined exceeding fruitfulness as fruitfulness that is continuous. That is, if it must be exceeding, it must be sustained beyond the “now”. Many persons in the guise of empowering others to be fruitful give them fish, money, food, clothes. These are good, but it’s not sustainable. Transfer the life.
Uniquely, the ministry of Jesus as we see was dedicated to empowering the life of few persons by transferring what he knew and received of the father to them. He gave them the command “go and teach others”. This is the method in today’s multi-level marketing (MLM). Just go tell a few persons who will be devoted to telling others. Paul told Timothy to teach others who will be faithful to teach others too.
If your fruitfulness must be sustained, you have to transfer a “life” which contains the rudiments and the fruiting nature to others “”who are faithful” to learn the life and transfer to others too. When we rather transfer deeds and fruits (edible, consumable), when they are exhausted, such persons will return.
The greatest thing Jesus had to do for peter was to make him fish for men and not give him fish or men. Though Peter (and those who were with him in the boat) called on other fishermen who were with him in d boat to help, it was only a temporary catch. Could he have earned such a catch another day? Jesus needed to increase the capacity of Peter!
MY RESOLVE
In line with the submissions of @Sirknight on what the message of our flag represents:
"To embrace and promote Christianity in the chain of blocks, spreading the love of God and celebrating the beauty of its creation, building a community of support and fighting against evil in whatever form it can take".
SK
@Steemchurch did ask questions in the post reviewed on how to build a support community:
What can you do to raise this Christian Flag?
- Work for God and for this Church with commitment and determination!
- Show your Gifts: publish, comment and show to steemchurch your talents, your initiatives and how you can positively affect your society.
- If you have finished college, show us your profession and how you could contribute this to free the world!
- Delegate some SP to steemchurch (100,000 SP is the goal we want to achieve in the coming months), some offerings and tithes will go to the world to leave a trace of love and proudly raise the banner of Christianity.
- Some other ideas are accepted, analyzed and possibly selected.
We have to spread the message of #freedom consciously to everyone around us. Don't forget the centre of the message is leaving footprints of love in the whole world. I will start from my corner and so will you.
I will personally and consciously spread the #freedom message to everyone, young and old around me in what I will tag "Freedom Lecture Series " in my Creativity Hub where I will craft out a curriculum to give a mental empowerment to young persons. It would be a weekly Meetup which will culminate in growing a strong #freedom-network in my locality.
I will leave footprints of love wherever I go!
Long live @Steemchurch!
