Faith, hope and love, food of prayer
Anything you ask in my name, I will do; Thus shall the father be glorified in the son. John 14:13
Without faith it is impossible to live this communication and dialogue that is prayer for the believer, if it is not believed that God is the one who wants to communicate and dialogue with us, that his word is alive and effective, that he listens to us, that he pays all our attention to our prayer , they will not bear the fruits that it brings when we are truly convinced that we are in communication and communion with God in prayer.
Faith was vital to the relationship of God with the Patriarchs, Abraham, ISAAC and Jacob, with Moses, with the judges and the prophets, in order for every believer it is important to have that certainty within the communication with God, because without it nothing can be achieved , or understand from God's perspective.
"You enter into prayer as you enter the liturgy: through the narrow gate of faith. Through the signs of his presence, it is the face of the Lord that we seek and desire, it is his word that we want to hear and keep. "The Holy Spirit teaches us to celebrate the liturgy awaiting the Return of Christ, educating us to pray in hope." Hope you see is not Hope says St. Paul, from our experience of prayer we hope in what God manifests and announces from it, especially we hope in the resurrection of the flesh and the second Coming of the Lord, in our daily life we hope in the Manifestations of Providence and the grace of our Lord, who has the necessary faith knows that he must trust in God, he must live in the active waiting, that the difficult situations of life, are resolved in the time of God, in his own way, which is often not as us — We imagine it's going to be.
"Prayer, formed in liturgical life, brings out all of the love with which we are loved in Christ and which allows us to respond by loving as he has loved us. Love is the source of prayer: who drinks from it, reaches the summit of Prayer... " Living prayer implies entering into a deep relationship of love with God, since he has loved us so much that he has done nothing but love in himself, in Jesus his son, in his spirit. For this reason prayer must allow the believer to let all the feelings flow that in communicating with God, through these moments of prayer, the love of God flows in an irrepressible way, he heals us, liberates us, transforms, his love is a balm , is a medicine that cures our soul, when we go to meet him in prayer, there we show him all that we feel, at the same time he expresses us inexplicably everything he feels for us.
The theological virtues, faith, hope and love must be present in every space of prayer, which we have, the faith to have the trust and the abandonment in the will of the father, the hope, to be sure that he comes all the best for our lives , in his time and in his way, and the love that assures us that he is with us, who listens to us, loves and answers us.
And if we know that God hears all our prayers, we can be sure that we already have what we have asked. 1 John 5:15
But you, when you go to prayer, enter your room, close the door and pray to your father, who is in the secret. So your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6
The end of all things is coming. So, to pray well, stay sober and clear-minded. 1 Peter 4:7
