The Bible is the compilation of the sacred scriptures of Christianity, written by the most faithful prophets, which under the divine inspiration and guidance of God, this has become the manual for the faith and life of every Christian, this manual for the faith and life of every Christian has a purpose and God uses different ways to communicate truths about him and his purpose for humanity is based on exemplifying the biblical teachings, so that they can be used and taken as reference for the lives of the human beings and not because they are considered good or good, but because they are teachings and instructions that come directly from God. The Christian puts his faith in the biblical truths because he understands that they are revelations of God and through these reach the eternal glory that the father offers.

2 Timothy 3: 16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and useful to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in righteousness, so that the man of God may be perfect, fully prepared for every good work.

The main author of the Bible is God. Each written word was inspired by him. The Bible is composed of a total of 66 books: 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. Each book contains a different theme and a different way of showing who God is and showing us His ways. The word testament means covenant and it refers to the promises of God for us and His faithfulness in fulfilling those promises. 

Isaiah 40: 8 The grass withered, the flower withered; But the word of our God remains forever. 

The human authors wrote exactly what God wanted them to write, and the result was the perfect and holy Word of God. Around 40 different human authors contributed to its formation, written in a period of approximately 1500 years, the authors were kings, fishermen, priests, government officials, farmers, pastors and doctors. All this diversity converges in an incredible unity, with common themes intertwined throughout it, but with the one and main author: "GOD"

The Old Testament and the New Testament.  

The Old Testament is the history of a Nation, and the New Testament is the story of a Man. The Nation was the way God brought Man into the world.

For a book to be included in the old testament, it has to meet certain requirements; the book had to be written by Moses, by a prophet, or by someone who at some time was used by God as a prophet.

The books of the pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) were all written by Moses and take the first five places in the Bible.  

The Pentateuch or the "Torah" (in Hebrew) is the set of the first five books of the Bible, which are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. The Hebrew word "Torah" means teaching, instruction or Law, so that in its five books the teachings of God to the People of Israel are collected.

The book of Psalms has several authors but the main author is King David. We know that David's main function was to lead the people of God, but on some occasions David communicated prophetic words about the Messiah. Books like Isaiah, Jeremiah and Daniel, bear the name of their author, all known prophets in their time. 

The new Testament.  

The New Testament is divided as follows: the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the epistles of Paul and the book of The Apocalypse.  

The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, relate the life of Christ and the book of Acts, records the history of the Church and the Apostles, especially the missionary journeys of Paul, after the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the letters or epistles of Paul, instruction is given to the leaders and members of the Church. The book of The Apocalypse, written by the apostle John, contains mostly prophecies related to the last days.  

Also the books of the new testament had to meet certain requirements to be included. These books had to have been written by one of the 12 apostles or by a disciple of one of them. Luke was a disciple of Paul and Mark was a disciple of Peter. 

What we read in the Bible is the result of a revelation, influence and inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God towards men; Prophetic books such as Isaiah, Daniel and Revelation, detail revelations of God's plan for the world. The need for the teachings and works of Jesus to be written was the inspiration that made Matthew, Mark, Luke and John write the Gospels.

The Summary of these works is a complete and powerful message from God to us, with the purpose of guiding us in this earthly world and making us understand that life is beyond the physical and material physical panoramas, that questions that have no answers can only be find them in their path, that the world from original sin has turned against God because of the evil one, but through his word we can find the true solution and peace.
