IT'S AN IDENTITY ISSUE

You are the Righteousness of God, in Christ... How did I know?

"Christian selfhood is not defined in terms of who we are in and of ourselves. It’s defined in terms of what God does to us and the relationship he creates with us as well as the destiny he appoints for us.
God made us who we are so we could make known who he is...Our identity is for the sake of making known his identity.”
See 1st cor 1 vs 30...
But God has brought you into union with Christ Jesus and God has made Christ to be our wisdom. By him we are put right with God; we become God's holy people and are set free.

This is God's already executed plan... and no matter how you try to deviate and why, his Goodness and Grace tends to swipe slowly the flaws of your humanness out of the arena of your life.

Your identity as in Christ is made to determine your behaviour... though sometimes your behaviour might want to challenge your identity as a human you are. Letting you do things that does not glorify God, but the thing is
For the fact that you committed sin doesnt make you a sinner, neither does your good deed say you are righteous already.
... the truth is you are either a sinner, or you are saved by grace
So whomever you saw in that reflection is who you re going to identify yourself as.

Believe me, only your conviction in Christ can move you into your new identity.

      A STORY

An Eagle found itself amid the chickens... they were all together, eating the same insects, scratching the soil with their legs and beaks for insects.
This Eagle knew there was a lot of difference btw him and those chickens... he had a longer beak, the worms and the insects doesn't satisfy him, he had a more wider wings and does his fly farther than any of the chickens whenever a predator attacks. But he couldn't identify himself among them and still didn't know where he could.
One day an Eaglet attacked a snake and as she grabbed it with her claws, she noticed this eagle was at a corner starring in awe and quickly let the snake lose.
That Eagle looked at himself after sometime and thought of what he saw. That Eaglet really looked like him... same wings, same colour and the beaks. He went to a nearby pool stood low and looked at himself, and right there he found who he was!!!
The pool reflected his real image and thus he discovered his identity. All the wonder and disparities were cleared... as he gloriously did his fly up above the sky and found his way.

Reflection is a tool for Identification
And after which you then reflect whom you have identified yourself as and with too.

Whatever you focus on... that also you give strength to. So why focus on your weakness?
Channel your focus to Jesus Christ and he will let you deposit strength to his passion. If you hold onto your True Identity, Christ will be formed in you.
It Takes Repentance(Denouncing), Real Repentance (Submission, Belief and acceptance of who God is) and Transformation( Change because of who Christ is to you... Love and Trust) to identify with and in God.
Identity simply put...
I AM NOT WHAT I DO, I DO WHAT I AM.
All because you know who you are. Yes!

You are a Recipient of God's unmerited Favour!

And God made you a promise in da book of psalms 84 vs 11-12.

God created humans to have unique characteristics and purpose. However he designed us also to have a commonality of contentment with our lives through His will. We discover our true identity the more closely we are drawn to Him.

There is Reality in your new nature.
Don't shy away from the real you... God is in everything. Find yourself in him and everything will reveal it self.
