Is Lucifer Satan?

LUCIFER - Meaning is ‘Light Bearer’, ‘Morning Star’, or ‘Venus’.

In Revelations 22:16, Christ declares to be the 'Bright Morning Star'.

Rev 22:16 I, Yeshua, have sent my Angel to testify these things among you before the assemblies. I AM THE LIVING GOD, The Root and The Offspring of David, and his Companion, and The Bright Morning Star.”

Modern Christians have been deceived into believing that Lucifer and Satan are one and the same, yet the two could not be more different.

Lucifer is the original Latin name for Venus, which we know is the bright morning star. Any assumption that he and Satan are the same ‘being’ is just that, assumption. In fact, the original Bible never calls Satan by the name Lucifer, nor is there any authoritative scripture that does. It's something that Christians and Roman translators made up.

SATAN - Meaning 'Adversary, one who resists'

Satan occurs eighteen times in the Old Testament, fourteen of those occurrences being in Job 1-2, the others in 1 Chronicles 21:1 and Zechariah 3:1-2.

There is some dispute as to whether it should be taken as a proper name or a title. In Job and Zechariah the definite article precedes the noun (lit., "the satan" or "the accuser"). Thus some argue it should be a title, while in 1 Chronicles (no article) it should be a proper name.

In the Old Testament, Satan is not an evil principle opposing God. In the Book of Job, "the Satan" is Job’s adversary. He acts as one of God's subordinates/courtiers to follow his directives. Many people hate and/or fear Satan, but they do not comprehend his usefulness in the progression of man. Satan is often depicted tempting, testing, and even tormenting a man of God, but by all of this being shown as through God's permission and angelic observance. In the gospels, we see Satan and his demons obedient to God's son, Yeshua. Though Satan fell and operates as an adversary to man, he and all others who fell continue to operate under God's unchanging law. Their purpose is still within positions that God finds necessary for mankind's progression.

So as you can see, Satan and Lucifer are not at all the same beings.

Thanks for the teaching!

The Adversary is darn good at his job, it is best not to underestimate him!

It should not surprise people but I find it so amazing how twisted their views are

I see a lot of people with Lucifer as a tattoo and I wonder if they know what it truly means...

It is a true injustice how the scriptures have been twisted to mean things they do not.
