MOTHERING SUNDAY AWARD- @Anglican communion, Akure diocese; Saint Michael's Anglican Church Ilara-mokin
Great people come in different moulds:
Some are old, while some are young;
Some male, some female; some may be black while some are white: but generally, they usually embody wisdom, vision, diligence and dedication
The Holy Bible guides our search for great people. "According to the book of proverbs 22:29 "seest thou a man that is diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings: he shall not stand before mean men"
Great people deserved to be celebrated, because greatness is not cheap. Even when greatness is practically thrust at an individual, it takes virtues to recognize it, and virtues, still, to hold and keep it. That is why the Yoruba says "The tortoise had the opportunity to be decorated with jewels, but it retracted its back".
The world today celebrate the background of the women of vision and virtues, an epitome of dedication and diligence, passionate philanthropist, loving wives and caring mothers, humble follower of the path of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
MOTHERS ARE GREAT, REAL, VERY REAL, CARING, LOVING, CREATED WITH PASSION, SELFLESS-these character woo the world and the church of Nigeria to celebrate them today by awarding some notable people among them

SHORT POEM FOR OUR AMIABLE AND DISTINGUISH MOTHER
How many days have you cried for me?
How many tears have you dried for me?
How many days have you worried for long?
How many years have you filled with song?
Nobody knows but you, mother.
How many times have I hurt your heart?
How many times have we had to part?
How many prayers have you said for me?
How many miles you walked for me?
Nobody knows but you,mother.
How many times will your heart be glad?
How many times will you say of your lad?
"I knew he 'd repay me for all of my pains:
I knew my work would not be in vain?
Nobody knows but you, mother.
And so we're giving this day to you,
Tho' the hours are short and the minutes few,
That you may know on this sacred day
We are thinking of you, and pray
As nobody can but you, mother.
HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY TO OUR MOTHERS'
