We want to avoid pain and suffering!

It's a verse with an impressive promise: suffering and pain will come, but in the end, we will end with joy. Let's remember that Jesus Christ, before being crucified, was warning them in his office. Everything would be like this, but they didn't fully understand what would happen. That moment would come, where it would be a dark time, sadness, pain, and tears. And if they felt directionless, but He didn't leave them that way. He also told them that this sadness wouldn't last forever; God would transform that pain into joy.

The same is true for us today. There are times when we feel discouraged, sad, or broken, but if we hold on to God's hand, that's not the end. God turns that pain or suffering into a fruit of maturity, strengthens our faith, gives us peace and purpose, and in the end, we will have more joy than sadness.

We long for God to take away the pain or avoid it, but for us, the promise is that this pain won't be in vain; it will be a time for our growth.

Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; but though you be sorrowful, your sorrow will be turned into joy.

John 16:20

God bless you today and always!
