Our identity as a child of God.

The fact that the Word reminds us that we are no longer slaves and that we are now children completely transforms our reality. This is a powerful truth.
This reminds us that we no longer have to earn anything, much less try to earn God's favor. God has adopted us as His children, and this implies many very important things, such as identity, and above all, an inheritance.
God does not see us as just anyone, as "one more." God has adopted us as "His children." From the moment we accept the opportunity to be children of God, it means that we will no longer be alone, we will not be lost. God is always with us, and we have no competition. We are children and part of God's family.
From that moment on, we are children and heirs of God, of all that God has promised: eternal life, peace, and much more. May we live today under this identity: "We are children of God."
So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
