Loving those we don't want to love.

Today, the Word of God presents us with a great challenge. It invites us to live in love, but a love that surpasses what we know, a love that reveals the character of God.

Loving those who love us is something natural, but things get complicated when we have to love our enemies. Faith, the supernatural love that comes from God, is fundamental there.

A practical example is when we bless those who curse us or respond with good to those who have harmed us or done us wrong. This type of supernatural love that we can put into practice makes us free, above all it allows us to be light in the midst of darkness.

Acting and living in this way is a way for God to act in us and through us. God always responds with grace and transforms our hearts and the hearts of those who are reached by our work and dedication of love.

I invite you to reflect and remember if there is someone you need to forgive and remember that it is possible to forgive as the Lord has forgiven us.

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you;

Matthew 5:44

God bless you today and always!
