WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT

in #steemchurch7 years ago (edited)

1 Peter 1:23

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever".

The man in Christ is born of the Word of faith; therefore he is of faith. Faith is his natural wiring.

Faith is of the new man in Christ. To have a fluent walk of faith, it is important that you recognize that faith is your natural wiring.

We don't assume faith in Christ, we only walk by faith. That's our life and walk.

1 Peter 1:23

tells us that we are born again of the incorruptible seed of God's Word which liveth and abideth forever; and this is the Word of faith that Paul the apostle speaks of in Romans 10:8 "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach."

You are born of the Word of faith, and so faith is not a struggle. We do not struggle for faith; it is our new nature or life in Christ.

This divine nature is a gift that we received according to God‘s divine power through His righteousness which is in Christ.

You only need to learn to use your faith in Christ; you are not in want of faith. You have been wired to walk and live by faith.

The revelation of the Word given to our spirit by the Holy Ghost activates faith in us. When the revelation of God's Word comes to us, our spirit responds to the Word.

The response of the recreated human spirit to the Word is faith at work, That's faith working; that's faith let loose.

How then do we walk by faith?

We receive the revelation of the Word and respond to it by acting upon it. The man in Christ interacts with the light of God's Word daily. He feeds on the Word and lives by what it says. We are doers of the Word, not hearers only.

Hearing the Word and responding to it is walking by faith. Our life and walk is of faith. Amen!

The topic made me remember the person of Noah. He is one that walked by faith and not by sight. In his time, telling people that "flood is coming" sounded weird to their ears, but it actually came. That is faith, believing the existence of something because we trust who the message is coming from. Noah trusted God.

Noah is a practical example we all as christian must look up to.
Oh lord strengthen me and uncrease my faith to be like that of Noah, Abraham Joshua and caleb etc in Jesus Name

It is good we understand that as a christian we don't walk by sight but by faith.
We need to have faith in God even when it seems all is lost.
Take a look at Joshua and Caleb, they believed and have faith in God that He only can deliver the land to them.

Don't allow the devil to take your faith, have faith and He will never disappoint you in Jesus name.

I couldn't agree more with this:

The revelation of the Word given to our spirit by the Holy Ghost activates faith in us.

Truly, the only we profit from the word of God is by acting or living it out, and not just having it in our mind.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful post @iboiosi.
Kind regards.

I don’t know where you are on this journey of walking by faith, but I encourage you—beg you, plead with you—to wave the white flag of surrender. Let God take your life, your pain, your loss and use it for his glory. Ask him to do an amazing work in you so he can do an amazing work through you.

Faith for me is the engine of religion. For a man without faith does not have or know his God, that is why we are called "BELIEVERS".

THAT IS MY CONTRIBUTION AND THANKS FOR SHARING
