THE STARS AND ITS GLORY

Sometimes you gaze at the stars on the visible clear night and as you look at those twinkling points of lights, you notice that they differ in brightness and even in colour..This may remind you of the Bible's description of the stars at - 1Corinthians 15:41..which says 'stars differs from stars in glory'
You may have wonder...why do stars vary in glory?
And why do they twinkle?... Well here's the thing.....
Stars hold within themselves large nuclear furnaces that generates massive amounts of energy.
That energy travels to the star's outer layers, where it emits rays.Hotter stars are said to be blue while cooler stars are red.lights can be seen as streams of particles called photons, which can also be called waves of energy.Higher temperature stars emits higher energy photons which are towards the blue end of a spectrum..while cooler stars give out lower energy photons which are found at the red end of a spectrum.

    The sun ...which is our own star, lies in the middle of the hotter and cooler stars because it produces a larger amount of light in a green-to- yellow range...
        But why isn't the sun green in colour? 

The sun emits lights In the other visible wavelengths and when viewed from the space, the net result ..is a white sun.we see the sun through the filter of the earth's atmosphere, which changes the Sun's appearance to varying degrees depending on the time and day. At middayday, the sun has a bright-yellow form.But at sunset, it may Appear orange or even red in colour.The colour changes are as a result of the water vapour and other particles present in the earth's atmosphere
Because of its composition, the atmosphere emits blue and violent light, producing a gorgeous blue sky at daytime.with blue and violent removed from the Sun's visible specreum, the remaining sunlight at midday is yellow In Colour..

      But the question still remain...why do the stars twinkle?
    Stars twinkle or change appearance in brightness and colour because of certain disturbances in earth's atmosphere.To illustrate, imagine tiny points at the bottom of a pool.As ripples passes over them, they twinkle.but larger points of light would be less disturbed.earth planets are like those larger lights, not because they are bigger than stars, but because they appear to be much more close to the earth they seem bigger,making them far from the stars. They become tiny and as a result stars twinkle.

  Stars are one of the glories of the celestial world..beautiful to look upon and deep in its exploration.. Indeed God is great...
