Time fly, but the good news is that we are the pilot. Diligence will fly you to where procrastination can’t even walk you to. The choice, the decision and the consequence of your decisions are yours and yours alone.

Life is beautiful in all way cos God has set out everything for us. He knows the best principles that should work out for us and this why he opened our eyes in the scripture according to Proverbs 22:29 “Seeth thou a man diligent in his work, he shall stand before kings and not mean men” . work here can mean your academics, your business ,e.t.c.

Diligence according to arcus dictionary is defined as conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task; giving the degree of care required in a given situation. Is kinda working with everything in you. When you are diligent, you work with ease and enthusiasm. You work and you are happy doing what you are doing.

Procrastination would knock on your door cos you are human but diligence helps you kick it out. Diligence brings you back to your desk after a stressful day. It reminds you that there is no time to say no time. It reminds you that some chit-chats would take your time from actualizing your goal. It brings you to a point of consistency and accuracy setting a pace that the devil won’t even take from you.

I have this friend, lets call him Bernard. Bernard is a student that went for NYSC in Yobe state, Nigeria. He saw opportunity unlike everyother students would see and he was diligent in his line of business. During the three weeks camp in Yobe, he planned on how to be transporting bags of groundnut to the Eastern part of Nigeria on a lesser amount.

Initially he started with two bags. The only thing he did was to buy and transport it to his buyers. Not like he sat in a place to sell it. He umdertood that it wont disrupt his wors as an NYSC worker. He also undertood that it wont stop him from serving Nigeria. From two bags he got to 10 bags before I knew what was going on he started buying 1trailer and selling to those in the east. These buys in the east, buys, sells and then send his money to him. Bernard was paid 30thousand monthly where he was doing his Nysc and federal government pays him 19,800 for monthly allowance together with the millions of money he bags from his bag of groundnut. Bernard was consistent, he understood diligency and he ran with it. If he has given up after selling one bag and didn t move as planned, he wouldn’t have gotten where he is right now.

In the place of diligence, failure would come in to scare you. It’ll come in as a devourer to eat you up and give you reasons not to ever venture any further. It would give you reasons to give up and stop anything that concerns WORK but you’ll remember that you would stand before kings after DILIGENCE, strive on. Its not the words of mortal men, it’s the word of God. You’ll surely stand before kings when you keep on.

Imagine if Mark Zuckerberg was not diligent in his work, imagine he had given up, facebook wont be where it is now. The platform he created has helped so many get lots of connection and meet people of great influence. Also imagine likes of Abraham lincloln, billgate, Isaac Newton, these guys didn't seize being consistent in their plsce of work. They kept pushing until the world heard their stories.

Some other scriptures that would buttress further on diligence are:

Proverbs 13:4 "The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied" A diligent man can never be poor. The Bible have stated it clearly, so no matter the force, once you're diligent, you are above defeat.

Proverbs 10:4 "Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, But the hand of the diligent makes rich"

Proverbs 12:24 "The diligent person will rule, but the slothful will become a slave"

Proverbs 13:4 "The lazy person craves, yet receives nothing, but the desires of the diligent are satisfied"

Proverbs 12:27 "The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt"

Proverbs 21:5 "The plans of hard-working people earn a profit, but those who act too quickly become poor"

Is already clear in the Bible that the Diligent would be very rich, the diligent would conquer the world, the diligent would be forever unstoppable. I know that we all struggle to be diligent but the moment we start being intentional in everything we do, knowing that we don't just live but live with purpose and direction, we will break records we never imagine we would.

Don't forget, diligence will fly you to where procrastination can't even walk you to.
