Humility is not the pure and simple negation of gifts, training and personal virtues. On the contrary, it is the recognition that these gifts, training and virtues come from God. If they exist in us, it is only because God exists above all and wanted to give us with them. It is the recognition also that, together with these gifts, we all have weaknesses, latent or not, of which we can never be proud.
