You can love more than enough

The most misunderstood feeling of all times which people are never sure of is the subject of discussion today. Love has been defined by many in divers manners, such as, an affectionate feeling, care and concern for something or someone, passion or compassion and the description go on and on.

While teaching in a classroom sometime ago, a student asked me "Who God is? My answer was "God is a mystery ". I further explained this to him, 'the more you know about Him, the more you discover you know nothing about Him. 1 John 4:8b says, "For God is Love ". With a mathematical approach, one can simply describe love as the feeling of God. So, if God is love and God is a mystery, then love is equally a mystery. The sweetest thing about mysteries is that they are revealed to certain people and today,I will reveal one of the mysteries of love.

Love is a person that binds two people together under no condition. This means, there is never a reason for loving someone or something. That "love person " (God) just creates the attraction within you towards that person or thing but for you to wholesomely express this feeling, you must first love God genuinely and equally love yourself. Do you know, for you to have a strong relationship with God, you must love yourself.

That's where a lot of people get it wrong. They don't love themselves enough to pour their love on God and humanity at large. If one loves oneself, one would draw out plans to reach one's visions, goals, ambition, sacrifice the pleasures of life to salvage one's future, work towards fulfilling purpose, sacrifice immediate gratification on the altar of self-development and impartation.

No one can love you the way God loves you but you must love yourself just about that much as well to attain your vision and impact positively in the life of people. When you love yourself, you will be meticulous about how you live your life, you will guard your integrity, reputation and image. You won't get addicted to bad habit because of the adverse effect on your psychology.

God commands we should love our neighbours as ourselves, this is because God knows that we can't love others or feel loved by anyone if we don't love ourselves. You can't give what you don't have. You can't hate yourself and love others healthily. To love yourself is very easy and difficult depending on where you stand in life at present. Loving oneself alone tends to selfishness and this brings heavy burdens to the heart of people around you.

Conclusively, love yourself for no one would if you're don't, love God, He alone can love you more than you can, love people around you, that way,you won't lose your way into selfishness. Thanks for reading, i appreciate.
