CONSERVING AND MAXIMIZING YOUTHFUL STRENGTH FOR PRODUCTIVITY

Introduction

Youthful strength, if properly conserved and utilized can make our lives yield bountifully and maximally. It should also be understood that the all sufficient God who gives knowledge and wits for every kingdom oriented business, just like he gave Jacob and Joseph (Gen 31: 9-11, Gen 39: 1-6), would not expect less than the optimum or excellence out of every investment He has made in our lives, for then, such business would not be satisfying Heaven’s ultimate interest.

At this point, we will now be considering the strength that can be conserved for this purpose, the process of conservation, the maximizing and the productivity in life pursuit.

What is strength?

Philippians 4: 13, Exodus 15: 2, Psalms 27: 1, 2 Samuel 22: 33, Psalms 18: 2, Habakkuk 3: 19.
The Lord Jesus himself in the life of a Christian is this strength. Every other strength beside the Lord Himself is vain and cannot be harnessed in a glorious productivity. Psalms 52: 7, 1 Samuel 2: 9.

How do we receive this strength?

John 1: 12, 1 John 3: 8-10, John 3: 3-7, Rev. 3: 20
since the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in our lives, is this strength, this strength can be received by new birth and by no other means.

Conservation of the strength

Matthew 11: 28-29; Romans 8: 28-30, Gal. 4: 1-4
Having received this strength into your life by new birth, this seed of Christ which is yet volatile in its initial stage, will need to be grown to maturity through discipleship process before it could be confidently channelled out. In this case, our maturity will not be by age but by the growth and formation of the glorious character of Christ in our lives. 2 Corinthians 3: 18.

When is our strength reckoned to be yielding maximally?

Matt. 5:16, Gen. 30: 27-30, Gen. 39:1-6
No matter the increase in our proceeds and the physical expansion of our businesses, our strength will not be yielding maximally if the successes and the increase are not tied to the obvious presence of God in our lives and God is eventually glorified through our lives.

Interestingly, this can only happen in a life that has made God his strength since no man can prevail by his own natural expertise and acumen. 1 Sam. 2:9, Psalms 52: 7.

Reflection

Is God the strength of your life or you are still using your own ability? Turn to Him now and let Him become the Lord and director of your life and business.
