We all have something to give to those in need.

On festive dates, especially, these are the moments when we give gifts. We can see that God has made the best gift for us and we also have many other examples of people who gave something.

Now it came to pass in those days, that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This first census was taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 And they all went to be registered, each to his own city. 4 Then Joseph went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David; 5 to be registered with Mary his espoused wife, who was with child. 6 And it came to pass, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 Now there were shepherds in the same region, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were greatly afraid. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For to you has been born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a sign for you: You will find the child wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels had departed from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, Let us go over to Bethlehem therefore, and see this thing which has come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 So they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger. 17 And when they saw him, they made known unto them what had been told them concerning the babe. 18 And all that heard were amazed at what the shepherds said unto them. 19 But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

Luke 2:1-20

During the festive season, like the Christmas season is usually a time when we show greater generosity, we can also see in history that on a similar date everyone also had something to give to others.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, at one time submitted to God's divine plan, proposed her body to be the first place of the Savior of the world and in doing so put her good reputation at stake to fulfill God's call.

Then the angel said to her: Mary, do not be afraid, for you have found favor with God. 31 And now, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a son, and you shall call his name JESUS. 32 He will be great, and will be called Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of David his father; 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end. 34 Then Mary said to the angel, How will this be? for I do not know a man. 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also the holy thing to be born shall be called the Son of God. 36 And behold, thy cousin Elizabeth, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren: 37 For nothing shall be impossible with God. 38 Then said Mary, Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her presence.

Luke 1:30-38

Joseph also gave protection and above all love to Mary and Jesus. An angel descended giving the announcement of the Messiah to the shepherds. In a moment a heavenly host of angels came to wash and glorify God. The shepherds were giving the first testimony of Jesus Christ. We also remember the Wise Men who brought royal gifts to Jesus.

Then Herod called the wise men secretly and inquired of them diligently the time of the appearing of the star. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go there and search diligently for the child; and when you have found him, bring me word, that I also may go and worship him. 9 When they heard the king's voice, they went their way; and, behold, the star which they had seen in the east went before them, until it came and stood over where the child was. 10 And when they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshipped him; and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts, gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Matthew 2:7-11

We can attribute all of these types of gifts to only a specific time such as Christmas but each of these actions or types of gifts can be applied to our lives in the present. Each of God's children has
