We turn our attention to God, diverting our attention from difficulties and focusing on our God's love and care for us.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
Praise him in the majesty of his firmament.
2 Praise him for his mighty deeds;
Praise him according to the multitude of his greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with the timbrel and the dance;
Praise him with strings and flutes.
5 Praise him with resounding cymbals;
Praise him with shouting cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Hallelujah.
Psalm 150
God has made us a special people so that we can walk in his purpose. We are made to worship God and proclaim His greatness.
The people I have formed for Myself
Will proclaim My praise.
Isaiah 43:21
Let's praise God simply for who He is and for what He has done in our lives. Let's remember that when we love another person, it's normal and natural to speak well of Him and praise Him. In the same way, those who love the Lord have the desire to praise Him and praise Him for who He is and what He has done for us.
Washing Him isn't just something for Him; it's very good for us because in this way, apart from focusing on the desire to satisfy all our needs (unfortunately, this happens very frequently and is already common in some people), God desires that our attention not be solely on ourselves; He desires that our gaze be fixed on the Lord. In this way, He fills our hearts and blesses others.
Praise and worship are closely related to church services and service to others, but not only within the church; this should be a characteristic that accompanies us wherever we are. Some deeper and more intimate expressions occur in moments of intimacy with God.
In these moments, we can remember God's care for us. Let us recall the evidence of God's grace and blessing in our lives. Let us daily ask God that we desire to learn to wash and unify Him at all times and in all places.
