Security and firmness in the word of God.

From the moment we decide to believe what God says about us, standing firm in His word gives us freedom from insecurity.
Who will bring any charge against God's chosen people? God is the one who justifies. 34 Who is the one who condemns? Christ is the one who died, and who was raised from the dead, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written:
For your sake we are killed all day long;
We are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:33-39
Behind insecurity there are hidden dangers that could stagnate us in the progress of our spiritual life, but to combat insecurity we need to develop our self-esteem by incorporating knowledge. Knowing Christ is our source of confidence and above all strength, if we try to face insecurity by ourselves we are only prolonging it.
We can have a self-perception that is not who we really are, we can see ourselves in front of a mirror that will show us as we are, the word of God is that mirror in which we look at ourselves with an open face and we can see ourselves as we are. We must change that focus from how we see ourselves to how the Lord sees us through the word of God. The Bible has power and when we read it we discover that what God says about us and for us, all of this causes our thoughts to be transformed and thus we become a better version.
How do we overcome insecurity? Through the knowledge of the word of God, this gives us security and our self-esteem is firm in who we are in Christ. We must concentrate on the positive qualities, that is: what makes us unique and wonderful before God. We can make a brief description of all this in writing but let us be very careful to never compare ourselves with other people.
We are unique and unrepeatable so comparing ourselves with others really does not make sense, God through the self-examination that we do can show us impressive things that will surprise us, let us remember that we have gone in a wonderful way, made in the image and likeness of God himself.
I will praise you; because wonderful, marvelous are your works;
I am amazed,
And my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:14
