We usually talk a lot, but in this world we will leave a much deeper impact through our actions through love than just by the words we can say.
6 Then those who had come together asked him, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 And he said to them, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father has put in his own power. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:6-8
If you, like me, have received Jesus Christ as your only and sufficient Savior, then you will know that just as the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead, He lives in us today and prepares us for this life and for the life to come. Let us just think for a moment about that incomparable power with which the Holy Spirit of God resurrected Jesus from the dead and now that same power acts on us to transform the lives of those who follow the Lord.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
Galatians 5:22
Here we can clearly read that it speaks of the fruit of the spirit, this translates into the result that the life of Christ and the action of the Holy Spirit produces in us with evident results as well as the conduct or character that can be seen in all people. These are qualities that we cannot generate in a forceful way by ourselves.
In our life in this world we can leave a powerful message that is the way we live and conduct ourselves, the way others see who we are. If we talk about this Christmas season, it is not just about showing a nice song or a nice festive moment, what people need and what truly transmits love is a united family, that loves each other, a community that works in an integrated way and driven by love, children of God who serve their neighbor, all this is part of the fruit of the spirit that is difficult to achieve with one's own effort.
We can show that peace that the life of Jesus produces in us instead of anxiety, we can show patience instead of continuous frustration, this in some way allows us to bear witness to the transformation and enjoyment of the Christian life through the life of Jesus in us. If we talk about a powerful message from the word of God, it is not necessarily just a message given through a pulpit, a powerful message can come from our workplace, from our university, from any place where we move since Jesus Christ lives in us and he is the living testimony who has transformed our lives through the power of the Holy Spirit of God and today we live for him, in the same way many others are reached and transformed. There is a message from the word of God that is not preached with words and that is us, we are like a letter read by other people.
