A great gift from God.

God's desire is for us to be merciful as He is, perhaps today we or someone is in need of forgiveness.
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any of you has a grievance against another. Just as Christ forgave you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these things, clothe yourselves with love, which binds you in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:12-14
Love is a driving force, and this moved God to provide the way for our sins to be forgiven. This was carried out through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who has been our savior and this becomes real for us when we trust in the work of the cross, in which Christ replaced each one of us in the place on the cross so that we may receive the gift of justification and forgiveness.
And you he made alive, who were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom we all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest.
Ephesians 2:1-3
Before knowing Christ or receiving Him as a sufficient Savior, we were dead in sins and a crime, the wrath of God was placed upon us, the grace and mercy of God was always willing through having sent his son to perform the most impressive act of redemption in history. Jesus Christ carried all our sins and experienced the wrath of God that had to be poured out upon us on the cross.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
Ephesians 2:8
Grace to all of us, we are saved by grace and faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our salvation is the absolute and total merit of Jesus Christ by order of God as a gift from God to us.
Let us always remember that the desire and will of God is that we be forgiven, that we be partakers of divine grace as well as many others. There are many who put conditions and surely we have done it at some point, we put conditions when it comes to sharing and extending the mercy and grace of God.
A phrase that we hear these. "I will only forgive you if you apologize or do something to repair the damage" What does the word tell us about this? Jesus Christ shows his love with us even when we were enemies and sinners.
8 But God shows his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
