Dilemmas
Source
Dilemmas are issues where we are confronted at the front of a dead end and they need to make a decision that we often do not want or think we are not prepared for. God often allows us to go through situations that are to face our dilemmas.
Moses had an encounter with God, where he saw a bush burning without being consumed by fire. There God spoke to Moses from the bush (Exodus 3.1-9).
That encounter with God was the moment that Moses needed to deal with his personal dilemmas.
How do you face the dilemmas of life?
1- Existential Dilemmas: Ex 3,10-15
The first questions we need to solve are existential, about life in general.
Two crucial questions that involve existential dilemmas are:
a) Who am I? Exodus 3.10-12
Moses needed to find this answer. He had been raised as prince of Egypt, but discovered that he was a slave. In the depths of his soul he had the echo of a question: Who am I? A slave or a prince? But God had responded by presenting Moses saying: "I am the God of their fathers" (v.6) and now the Lord makes a promise: "I will be with you" (Exodus 03:12).
Our history, our origin and mainly the difficulties we face in life lead us to think who we really are and many times the world teaches lies to swallow lives. Only with God can we know who we really are and we learn that we are very special to God. If they say that you are a thing that is not true, you only believe in what God says you are, because he knows you and loves you unconditionally.
b) Who is God? Exodus 3.13-15
The second existential question that brings so much conflict when you do not have the answer is about God. When we do not know who God is, we are confused with so many answers that religions present because religious are also seeking this truth.
In the same way that only one person can say who he is, so only God can say who he is. Then we need an encounter with God to truly know the Lord.
The answer to existential dilemmas:
You are important to God, which is all you need!
2- Circumstantial dilemmas: Ex 4,1-17
The second type of dilemmas that we face are of circumstantial origin, about the things that happen and we do not understand.
a) The People's Dilemmas: Exodus 4, 1-9
Moses was scared of what people would say about him and especially not to believe in what he would say. That is why God gave him two miraculous signs to perform before people. The rod that transforms into a serpent and the hand placed on the chest becoming leprous alert us about the consequences of our actions. Snakes were considered goddesses and leprosy the most terrifying disease of the time. God shows his power over all circumstances.
In our relationships we face many dilemmas, but with the help of the Lord we get to experience wonders. Many times the problem is not in others, but in ourselves. We need to know the power of God that can change everything.
b) Dilemmas of Events: Ex 4,10-17
Moses continues to question God about what could happen and was unable to solve the people's problems. You are afraid of not knowing how to speak. Ask God to send someone else, then the Lord sends Aaron his brother to help him.
Many times we question the reason for the things that happen with us. We do not know the reason that leads us to so many problems. It seems that the struggles are endless. God can put an end to all this, but he wants to deal with us through the circumstances to understand his power above all.
The answer to circumstantial dilemmas:
God can change all things!
Solve your dilemmas with God!
That fragile bush represents our lives. God wants to realize the improbable through us. The Lord makes us ask to understand his purposes. We were astonished at his majesty. But only in an encounter with God do we get these answers. Place your life before the Lord to solve your dilemmas.
God is the answer you need!
Hi @corpuscristi18!
The novelties presented by this world, increasingly corrupt, have put the integrity of the young Christian in check, between the elections and the doubts that torment him. But in the end, what has helped so many young people come to put their faith to the test? The media, the Internet, secular education or friendships?
It is good to reason the answer!
