Open the window and let the sun between

Hi my brothers of SteemChurch ans christian-trail.

At some point in its history, things did not work. Everything changed overnight. And in the midst of so much confusion, of the pieces of his heart, of doubts and uncertainties, the world seemed gloomy. Almost instinctively - fearing for your own survival - you ran as fast as you could and it was.

It was inside himself. No other place seemed so safe, no one understood what was happening. Like a baby in the lap of the parents, you allowed your tears and your pain to stroke you. He felt safe, despite the pains and inquiries.

He built a very well made wall - heavy bricks with frustrations, disappointments, doubts, crying and rancor. Every day, the wall was thickened. You got used to the small space and almost no light. In such a natural way. you opened the door of the heart, only to see the neighborhood, and that was enough for Jesus to ask to enter.

And with the love that is characteristic of him, in the end He is love itself (1 John 4.8), He took care of his wounds (Psalm 147.3). The existing scars became proof of his grace over his life. And little by little, He opened the window more, made you see that the sun was still shining from the outside. The cigar did well for your lungs and seeing the birds flying took your imagination away ... will it be that one day you would feel as light as them?

In the same instant, that fear. He was hiding behind the sofa, uncomfortable with the brightness of the sun and closed the window. Could it be worth leaving the warmth? Even with the return of the curtains closed, Jesus continued on his side - even if He knew what was best for you. With the window closed, you have seen yourself facing more doubts. He felt the taste of how life can be, but for that, he would have to leave behind his certainties: "I can not trust anyone"; "I'll never be happy".

He had already moved on, he no longer remembered to suffer what had happened with his heart. Things had improved, right? Jesus, then, invites you to sit at the table in the living room and have a coffee (with milk, please!).

Slowly and respecting his time to assimilate everything, He showed you that you are parked. I lived comfortably on a wall, and I thought that if someone wanted to come one day ... well, the problem was someone's. You would not open the door, would you?

Between a drink and a coffee one, his eyes opened. Why give ear to the fear that brought nothing beyond years of an empty and lonely life? What Jesus offered was something special. It was a full life, in every way! (John 10.10) It was the certainty that everything would be fine. And is not that what you want?

Jesus was always there for you. In the nights of crying and incomprehension, He continued there. Maybe you have not heard it, but He was (Matthew 28.20). And today, He continues there with you. And invites you to open the window, jump off the wall. And He assures you that He sustains you. What Jesus has for his life are plans for peace (Jeremiah 29.11), and much better than any plan that fear can offer you. You just have to accept it!
