HELP THE IMPERFECT
SCRIPTURAL TEXT
(Philemon 1:10-11)
”I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:”
In the pursuit of your life’s assignment, you would be surrounded by seemingly imperfect people. God in His wisdom has placed these people around you because they have a role to play in helping you achieve your life’s purpose. However, it is your choice whether to accommodate them or to shut them out.
You need people to achieve your goals and fulfil your assignment on the earth, and many of such persons would be imperfect while your relationship with them lasts. Onesimus, as mentioned in our scriptural text today was such a one; though he fell out of favour with his master at a time, he later proved profitable as Paul stated.
Therefore, you must have the mind to forgive others and resolve differences rather than constantly pushing away those whose thoughts, actions or manner of approach differs from yours. Look out for ways in which they fit into what God has called you to do, and in time, you would not regret it.
THE HOLY SPIRIT MANIFESTS AS WATER
📜 SCRIPTURAL TEXT
(Isaiah 44:3)
_“For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:”
Water is one of the most important elements on the earth. The survival and sustenance of all living things is dependent on its availability. It is thus significant when the Bible shows us that the Spirit of God can also manifest as water. Glory to God!
The Holy Spirit manifests as water to signify His power to cleanse and purify. He comes into the life of a believer to wash away every spiritual uncleanness and deposits of sin. He helps to cleanse your mind from every controlling thought that negates the truth of God’s Word.
Each time you fellowship with him in prayers and in the study of the word, the Spirit of God flushes out every negative thought and all that impedes your spiritual growth are removed as well, leaving you with a freshness words cannot describe. Get into fellowship with Him right now and experience this freshness in your spirit. Go ahead!
The story of Onesimus gives us hope; even though people may have given up on you, keep doing your best and with God on your side, your nay sayers would eventually give glory to God because of you.
you have written real time sense here.
i was having a similar discussion today with a friend that friendship these days is messed up really bad. We have people who fail to recognize that others are imperfect, everyone is actually.
So they find it hard to forgive their friend's or another man's flaw but wonder why nobody forgives them during theirs.
in all truth, we should learn how to accommodate the short coming of others.
