Sri Lanka - photo journal
I wanted to share some images from my travels around Asia.
These are some shots from a trip last year to Sri Lanka. This isn't really an extensive travel blog but just a few images I snapped along the way. We started off in Colombo and then headed north to Anuradhapura. Now a Unesco world heritage site Anuradhapura is famous for it's ruins and temples. I also had amazing wildlife and landscapes, full of paddy fields and an abundance of wild peacocks.
Sadly as we headed north we were met with unseasonal heavy rain for about a week which made sightseeing by bike a pretty miserable affair. From there we made our way to south to Sigiriya which is famous for it's rock fortress and temples as well as a great jumping off point for the Minneriya National Park. We continued south via Kandy to Ella and eventually onto beach town of Matara on the south coast. The rain finally stopped and we dried out in the sun for a few days by the beach before heading back to Colombo to spend a few nights with friends before heading back to Malaysia.
Anyway as I say this isn't really a travel blog, I just wanted to share a few photographs. I'm not much of a wildlife or landscape photographer, I prefer to photograph people so that's what I have focussed on here.
