Harry Goes To Day Camp by James Ziefert
Schools that are not year-round are coming to completion. Summertime is here. When summer arrives some kids get to go camping and others just go to day camp. If they’re lucky they get to enjoy many activities that are a part of the summer time culture. Swimming, biking, walking and being out in the nature exploring comes to mind. What will you do for summer enjoyment??? Grilling and going to parks, beaches and amusement parks could add to the excitement!!! Traveling, is a good one.
Harry leaves his house to go to camp when the bus pulls up. Everyone sang while on the bus to camp. Harry wanted to go swimming right away but his group leader said they would play soccer. Then instead of going swimming after they played soccer, they went and played basketball. After, basketball they went and had lunch, instead of going swimming. Harry really wanted to go swimming.
