CONTEST: Let's Get A Steem Story For A Steem Day That Is As Good As Bitcoin Pizza Day

Today is bitcoin pizza day. No it is not the name of a pizza. Though I wonder what would be on a Bitcoin pizza. It would probably have a lot of cheddar.... get it. Anyways, it is the anniversary day when somebody, on May 22, 2012, bought two pizzas for 10,000 bitcoins. Which, if you do the math, is $21,225,800 in todays market. I hope that was some good pizza.

It is an important story as it is the first time somebody spent that magical internet money and bought something real with it (and bitcoin has come a long way with being accepted and being traded for cash).Although the story has positive aspects to it like the first time the coin was used for a purchase and the idea that your coins today could be worth a lot if you hold on to them, there is also this dark side to it. It sucks to know you missed out on a fortune seven years later because you wanted a large peperoni. But I guess bitcoin kicked-in-the-nuts day does not have the same ring to it.

Either way the story is a powerful way to spread the idea and the use of bitcoin. It is a fun story that is easy is to tell and you can see why it went viral. Plus pizza is awesome. So maybe we can do it with steem. If we were going to have a steem day, what would we call it and what would the day be? We can go the same route as bitcoin, have a day that someone bought something big with steem? Maybe a car for steem car day? A boat? I have seen trips, we can find the first and call it steem trip day. I want to get back to school and buy a condo, so if you want to fund me for a steem education day or steem condo day let me know :p. It could also be the first person that retired because of steem and we can call it steem helped-me-quit-my-shitty-job day.

Or we can go a different route and make it a day based on something else like steem million day for the first post that makes a million dollars.
