Contest: Promote a post on the Steem blockchain on another website and win 10 Steem Power!
I decided that I wanted to make a small giveaway for those of you who follow my blog, so during the next week you will have the chance to win 10 Steem Power. Right now, this is valued to be worth $46 USD, so I would say that it is a pretty nice amount to win for a simple giveaway like this one.
I decided to use this giveaway as an opportunity to promote Steem and Steemit, so by participating you will also promote the blockchain. That’s a win-win situation for all of us, and the more people who participate, the more exposure Steem will get.
How to enter the giveaway
The rules to enter are very simple, and you just got to promote Steem or Steemit on another website, and post a link to Steemit. You don’t really need to promote Steemit itself, and any post on Steemit will so. So just find a post you like (it does not have to be your own) and post a link to it somewhere. You are of course free to promote your own posts, or even mine if you want to.
It could be as easy as tweeting about a post, posting a link on your Facebook account, submit a link to Reddit, or link to a post from a forum somewhere. The options are endless, and all links qualify for the giveaway!

Each participant can enter once, and just comment with a link to the place where you promoted Steem or Steemit to enter. It is of course free to enter, and anyone can join. If you can't share a link to the place where you shared a link to Steem(it), then take a screenshot and post it in the comment section to enter.
I thought about asking you guys to follow or upvote me before entering, but just do this if you want to; I don’t want to force anyone to follow or vote for me. But if you feel like you want to be nice, then go ahead and upvote, follow or resteem!
Once you’ve entered, all you got to do is wait, and once the post has reached payout (after one week), I will select a random winner from everyone who participates to receive the prize of 10 Steem Power!
Why you will win Steem Power, and not Steem or SBD
Steem Power is without a doubt a much better prize than Steem or SBD, since it gives you a higher voting stake on the platform. It also prevents someone from getting the prize and just cashing out, so if you want to sell the prize, you will need to wait 13 weeks. However, I’m confident that Steem will see a big increase in value over the year, so I suggest that you hold on to it.

I'm glad that you decided to give away SP instead of the others because it's more valuable. Plus, like in my case, my votes are still at .01 and I'm just at the cusp of getting to .02. lol building your steem power takes a while...
Also, I tried for the first time to use the steemstem tag since it is science related and I cited all of my pictures. Is there anything else that I need to do? This is the first post I've spent the time hunt down the picture information.

I'm glad you think so. I have high hopes for the future of Steem and Steemit, so I prefer to give away something that has a long-term value, and it is much better if the winner uses it to increase their voting instead of just cashing out in my opinion.
