Don’t just read books—
Read the setting sun, the withered leaves,
The shivering evenings, the pouring rain,
The silent eyes, the sorrowful scenes,
The half moon, the falling stars,
The half-bloomed flowers,
The flowing springs and dried-up rivers.
Even the most ordinary faces
Are waiting to be read by you.

Translation to Urdu:

صرف کتابیں مت پڑھیں ،
ڈھلتا سورج ، سوکھے پتے،
ٹھٹھرتی شامیں ، برستے بادل،
خاموش آنکھیں، اداس منظر ،
ادھورا چاند ،ٹوٹتے تارے ،
ادھ کھلے پھول ،
بہتے چشمے، سوکھے دریا،
عام سے چہرے
بھی آپ کے مطالعے کے منتظر ہیں
