About a year ago I was making very good money on Steem just be posting and curating. My account was worth almost $100k at one point. Now it's all dropped in value, but I'm not too upset. I have taken out a few thousand Steem to spend and I don't regret it. I wouldn't have been to Steemfest otherwise. I know some people have lived off Steem and dtube still do if their cost of living is low enough. As I wrote in my post today I don't expect to live off it any time soon, but I hope more people can. I just want it to be by what I consider legitimate methods.
I guess you can be pretty relaxed with the value dropping my 90% (as all with all crypto) because you've just earned it by posting, mainly!
It's all gain, and it's worth being here just for the social life. On that note, how have I managed to avoid coming across @meesterboomfor so long? He's absolutely hilarious, only really made his acquaintance the last couple of weeks.
I honestly, 100% believe we are NEVER going to get people earning money on here legitimately until we have ID verification, which we also need to have democracy in any meaningful sense, but that's another story.
That aside, I'm enjoying myself here, the only downside is that when you run a blog for half your living, sitting in front a computer is always going to be a bit of a busman's holiday, however different it is from actual 'work'.
