You should vote for those you think do good things for Steem so they stand more chance of earning from their work. Your vote strength is related to your SP, but it all adds up.
I voted for some witnesses, is this something I need to continually do, or will my support just keep flowing automatically?
It doesn't expire, but you should check they are still active
