I think you made a pretty good move. I didn't start buying Steem until I had been around for about 6 months. I think it is important to get a feel for a place. After actively participating in the platform and writing many posts I felt confident and invested. I think I bought about 15K Steem. The price was somewhere between US$0.8 and $1. I bought another 50K+ Steem at the end of 2018. The price was only about US$0.32. The rise of the DApps gives me confidence that investing in Steem is a great move. It may take a few years, just takes a bit of patience.

I totally agree because as I mentioned on my first comment, I had no idea what I got into. I thought I was active on Facebook but I wonder why I haven't come across any Steem topic. Or maybe I wasn't socializing enough.

Lucky you to have been able to get that much Steems. I wish I too can afford such... 😊

I think people rely too much on promoting their content on Steem rather on other social media. I try to share as widely as I can. When more people know about Steem, the better it'll be for all of us here.
