In Winschoten, Oldambt

Last wednesday at 'Pand 147' with @smasssh.

No time for photos

Do you know who is the member behind a Steem account you interact with? Behind my brandname it is really me. Or at least I think my personality echoes through my activities on Social Media platforms, like Steem. It was one of the many subjects @smasssh and I talked about wednesday afternoon. And I can state that he is who I expected him to be. It was a great and fun meet and greet in real life.

This was the second time that a fellow Steemian and I met up. Last year I had the pleasure to meet @englishtchrivy and her husband. And they are welcome to drop by, just like @smasssh. He was in the neighbourhood for a job and so it was an opportunity for us Steemians to meet up. We are about the same age. Past the numbers where we both already know where Abraham got the mustard from.

Already I knew that was from Eenrum, or so I thought. But actually the real tale comes from a time and age where men were able to become a 175 years of age and even older. Some being married to a thousand woman...!? At this point it seems a very unlikely story to me. But as usual, I'm drifting off, sorry for that. Smasssh and I did not talk that much about our age, it was more of a generation click.

If you follow @smasssh on Steem you might think he is all about a good laugh. What, you do not follow him yet!? Go over there now and follow him! But I have read some very serious publications of him as well. He has many stories to tell. But last wednesday there were only a few hours. For me it was a five minute ride on my bike, while he had to drive more than two hours to get back home.

Enough to talk about

Just like I experienced with Ivy and her husband, time now also passed by fast. And I am not sharing everything we talked about here. Only that I really had a good time. And though I usually snap shoot some photos with my mobile, I just forgot to do so this time around. So much to talk about. Part of our conversation was about Steem and Cryptos of course.

Without something like Steem I probably would not have met wonderfull people like Ivy, her husband and Smasssh. It sure adds a great dimension to Steem in the form of real life interaction. Great memories shared, far beyond the: "If you follow me, I will follow you, that's Steem for me and you!" experience. Will be quite tough to do so with 3000 followers, or even with 30.

And I'm glad that I was able to meet 3 Steemians in real life, so far. Had a great time meeting you @smasssh. And, just like Ivy and her husband, you are welcome to drop by if you're in the neighbourhood.

Have a great one!

Amongst Steem men of age, who just know
about Abraham and the mustard...

you!
hahahaha ^ ^
you two met?
you!
ahahhaha

I'm very allergic to fake people. Men and women pretending to be someone else than they really are (one of the subjets we talked about).
In my life sofar I've met hundreds (if not thousands) of them.

Being genuine, authentic, real. Three words with an (almost) same meaning.
Meeting people (and especially new people), I need to "feel" a mix of these words to know if I have a so-called 'click' with that person.
And luckily I've also met a lot of people that I DO have that click with.

I'm glad to confirm here on the blockchain that after our very pleasant meet, greet and talks of last wednesday I can add you in my top 10 of the most genuine, authentic and real persons I've ever met.

Thanks again and looking forward till next time.

P.s. Those two marriages I had, have cost me at least 10 years of my life so that story of men becoming 175 years of age or older can only be a fairy tail OR an (almost) eternal nightmare.

Thanks mate!

It was a joy reading your reply and I can subscribe to your words about being ones unique self. Where I can state that you are also as real as its gets. Uniqueness confirmed on the blockchain.

It was a pleasure and looking forward to a next time too.

And about these men becoming 175 years and older, being married to a 1000 wifes at the same time and also having some fun, when away from home, no way. Do not know what they used to get high on in those days, but it must have been quite some heavy stuff.

Have a great weekend!

Latex!

'He has many stories to tell'.

Know him quite well myself as well. And to think of you haven't even hear him talking after having had a couple of beers ... lol.

No, only one. It was a long drive home. Safety before everything else.

Wonder now how much talk there will be after a few. :-)

Believe me; you don't wanna know. Hahaha.

@smasssh seems like a fun dude to hang with honestly! Cool you guys had a chance to meet up!

It is great to meet great people, like Smasssh, from behind the Social Media platform virtuality in the real world.

Ik was twee dagen geleden in Winschoten. De volgende keer even een bakkie doen? Lijkt me leuk. Captain Picard... mooi gemaakt!

Ja is goed, leuk.
Winschoten wordt nog een beroemde Steemian groet en ontmoet plaats. :-)

Dankje, JLP is mij favoriete Star Trek Captain.

I'm happy to hear it, I want to know, how old are you my friend?
Have a good day @oaldamster

My age is 51, and I feel like 150. :-)

Have a great day too!

Hahaha
It is ok my friend. You are older than me. I am 28 years old.

That is still quite young. 👍😉

Cool! I haven't met with any Steemians yet unfortunately. I can imagine it was fun!

Yes it was fun indeed! Maybe it is possible to organise a Steem-NL 'groet en ontmoet' somewhere in Nederland someday.

And if you are in the Oldambt neighbourhood let me know.

I have met a few through the first steemfest and introduce dive to the site but that's about it. Would love to meet more!

Can imagine Steemfest must have been awesome. There sure are a few more Steemians I would like to meet in real life. Some are a bit more tough to meet up with due to geographical challenges and stuff. But when the chance comes along I would jump that international train. And if you happen to be in the neighbourhood, let me know. :-)

If I am in the neighborhood I most certainly will!!

Yeah, Scotland has a real dearth is steemians, is quite ridiculous so not much meeting going on up here!

There is always one who has to push the wagon so it will start and then others will be happy to jump on too.

Guess in Nederland there are quite a few Steemians already, enough to have a little meet n greet.

I am pushing that wagon as hard as it can go!! :OD
